Although U.S. Cellular is only a regional cellular coverage provider, meaning that their phones are not available everywhere in the country, the company is still rather successful. In fact, just after the four behemoth wireless companies (AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon), which are all obviously wireless phone and data providers that can be purchased and accessed anywhere in the United States, U.S. Cellular comes next in terms of number of customers and income generated. This is quite an impressive feat when you take into consideration that U.S. Cellular is only available in 23 states.
Although it might seem odd that the fifth largest cellular coverage provider in the United States is a company that does not even offer their products across the entire country, it does make sense when you look at U.S. Cellular in regards to the services that they offer to their millions of customers. In particular, the fact that they are growing a 4G LTE network for the people who use their services is a major benefit for U.S. Cellular and it proves that they are dedicated to making sure that their customers are not missing out on anything by choosing a non-national brand.
To entice even more people into switching carriers and going with U.S. Cellular, they offer a Contract Payoff program. What this program is in place for is so that new customers to U.S. Cellular who were charged an early contract termination fee from their old carrier can submit proof of being charged that kind of fee. U.S. Cellular will then reimburse customers the amount that they were charged.
Submit a U.S. Cellular Contract Payoff Request
If you would like to take part in the U.S. Cellular contract payoff program, you will need to already have your final bill from your old cellular phone coverage carrier. The bill will need to have the early termination fee listed on it or else you will not be reimbursed for anything. However, the fee may also appear as something like “Hardware Installment Plan” or “Contract Termination Fee”.
With that bill in hand, head over to the Contract Payoff page at uscellular.com/contractpayoff. On that page, simply fill out the form as required and then click the “Continue” button. The next page will ask you how you would like your reimbursement sent to you and, depending on your choice, you will need to fill out various corresponding information before finalizing and submitting your request.
